DIN 85 Slotted Pan Head Machine Screws
We supply DIN 85 slotted pan head machine screws in A2 and A4 stainless steel from M1.6 to M10, plus steel 4.8 zinc plated and brass. Slotted pan head machine screws have a low cylindrical head with a single slot drive, used in electrical, instrument and general light assembly work.

Steel 4.8
Property class 4.8 - minimum tensile strength 400 N/mm2. Zinc plated as standard. The general-purpose choice for light assembly and enclosure work.
Stainless A2 (304)
Supplied to class A2-50. Good general corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered external use.
Stainless A4 (316)
Supplied to class A4-50. Molybdenum-bearing grade for marine, chloride and chemical environments - specify A4 anywhere salt is involved.

DIN 85 has been superseded by ISO 1580, but there are small dimensional differences, including head dimensions on some sizes, so they should not be treated as automatically identical where the exact standard matters. If your drawing specifies DIN 85, send us the requirement and we can identify the appropriate product.
What is the difference between DIN 85 and DIN 84?
DIN 85 has a low pan head; DIN 84 has a taller cylindrical cheese head. Choose DIN 85 where head height is limited and DIN 84 where a deeper slot and higher-sided head are wanted.
