DIN 7982 Pozi Countersunk Self-Tapping Screws (Type AB)
We supply DIN 7982 pozi countersunk self-tapping screws with the Type AB spaced thread and sharp point, in steel zinc plated and A2 and A4 stainless steel, from gauge 2 (2.2mm) to gauge 14 (6.3mm). The countersunk head sits flush with the surface once driven into a countersunk or dimpled hole.

Use countersunk (DIN 7982) where the head must finish flush with the surface, such as panels, trims and hinges seated in a countersunk hole. Where the underside of the head can bear on the surface, the pan head DIN 7981 is the general-purpose choice.
What does Type AB mean?
Type AB is the spaced self-tapping thread with a sharp gimlet point - DIN point form C, so these screws are often listed as DIN 7982 C. A blunt-ended Type B version is listed separately.
How do the gauge sizes convert to metric diameters?
