We supply DIN 580 collared lifting eyebolts in steel and A2/A4 stainless steel, from M8 to M72 x 6. The forged collar seats square on the load face so the eye is supported in use - the pattern specified for machine lifting points. Certification is available on request with every line.

Can I lift at an angle with DIN 580 eyebolts?

Only within the limits given by the applicable load chart and standard. Capacity reduces when the load is applied away from the intended axis, so sling angle and load direction must be considered before the lift.

Why must the collar seat fully on the surface?

The collar must seat fully on a flat, clean bearing surface so that the eyebolt is supported as intended. Don't alter or pack the seating arrangement unless the manufacturer's instructions specifically permit it.
