DIN 1480 Turnbuckles
We supply DIN 1480 turnbuckles - rigging screws, or straining screws - in zinc plated and hot-dip galvanised steel, from M6 to M30, with eye, hook and jaw end fittings quoted to your requirement. Opposite-handed threads at each end draw the fittings together as the body is turned, tensioning rod, wire and bar assemblies.

What is the difference between a turnbuckle and a rigging screw?
The terms are often used interchangeably in the trade. Turnbuckle, rigging screw, straining screw and bottle screw all describe the same device - a body with left- and right-hand threaded ends that tensions a line as it is turned. DIN 1480 is the open-body forged pattern.
Which end fittings are available for DIN 1480?
The standard pattern takes eye, hook or jaw (fork) ends in any combination - eye/eye and hook/eye are the common picks for wire and rod work. State the combination and finish when you enquire.
