DIN 444 Eye Bolts (Swing Bolts)
We supply DIN 444 swing eye bolts in steel 4.6 and A2/A4 stainless steel, from M6 to M30, in both form B (fully threaded) and form LB (part threaded). The eye pivots on a pin so the bolt swings in and out of a slotted lug - the classic quick-release clamping bolt on covers, lids, filter housings and jigs. What is a swing bolt used for?
Swing bolts make quick-release clamps: the eye pivots on a fixed pin, the bolt swings up into a slotted lug, and a wing nut or handwheel clamps the cover. Undo the nut a few turns and the whole bolt swings clear - no loose parts to drop into the machine.
Can I lift with a DIN 444 eye bolt?
No. DIN 444 is a swing/pivot bolt and is not designed, rated or certified as a lifting point. For lifting use a collared lifting eyebolt to DIN 580 or another rated lifting product, selected and inspected in line with your lifting regulations.
