DIN 553 Slotted Grub Screws, Cone Point
We supply DIN 553 slotted cone point grub screws in steel and A2/A4 stainless steel from M1.6 to M12. The cone point bites into the mating surface or a locating dimple for a more positive lock than a flat point, used for setting collars, knobs and levers on shafts.

Is DIN 553 still a current standard?
DIN 553 has been superseded by ISO 7434. The standards are closely related, although dimensional or technical differences may exist. If your drawing specifies DIN 553, send us the requirement and we can identify the appropriate product.
What is a cone point grub screw used for?
The cone point seats into a drilled dimple or bites directly into the shaft, giving a positive mechanical lock. It suits permanent or semi-permanent settings - collars, knobs and levers that must not shift in service.
Is DIN 553 available in stainless steel?
