DIN 438 Slotted Grub Screws, Cup Point
We supply DIN 438 slotted cup point grub screws in steel and A1/A2 stainless steel from M3 to M10. The hollow cup point digs into the shaft for a firm grip without a locating dimple - the most common grub screw point for fixing collars and couplings.

Is DIN 438 still a current standard?
DIN 438 has been superseded by ISO 7436. The standards are closely related, although dimensional or technical differences may exist. If your drawing specifies DIN 438, send us the requirement and we can identify the appropriate product.
What is the difference between DIN 438 and DIN 551?
Both are slotted headless grub screws. DIN 551 has a flat point that bears on the surface without marking it; DIN 438 has a hollow cup point that bites in for a firmer grip on shafts and collars.
Is DIN 438 available in stainless steel?
Yes - DIN 438 cup point grub screws are available in stainless steel as well as steel.
