Permanently damp or external soffits and coastal structures - anywhere a plated socket would corrode in place. The socket is permanent, so in a corrosive environment the material choice has to last the life of the structure. For swimming pool atmospheres, stainless grade selection is safety-critical due to chloride stress corrosion - send us the application.
