DIN 6880 Key Steel Bar
We supply DIN 6880 key steel bar in metric sections from 3×3mm to 36×36mm, cut to length from standard bar stock. Key steel bar is used to machine custom-length parallel keys and splines where a specific length is required or where made-to-drawing keyway work is needed. Inch sections are also available.

How does key steel bar differ from a cut key?
A cut parallel key (DIN 6885) is a finished component ground to tolerance. DIN 6880 is bright key steel bar with controlled cross-section dimensions — the section is finished to tolerance; the buyer cuts and finishes the component length as required. Where a standard cut length is suitable, DIN 6885 cut keys are the faster option.
