What is a plough bolt?
A countersunk bolt with a square neck under the head. The head sits flush - or slightly below, on wear parts - and the square neck locks the bolt while the nut is tightened from behind, which is why the pattern survives on plough shares, grader blades and chute liners.
How does DIN 608 differ from a coach bolt?
Both use a square neck to stop rotation. The coach bolt DIN 603 has a domed head that stands proud; DIN 608 countersinks flush into the surface. Where material is thin or the countersink cannot be formed, the domed pattern is usually the easier fit.
