How does a Starlock washer work?
The washer's sprung teeth deflect as it is pressed onto a plain shaft and bite against the surface, resisting withdrawal. It forms a fast, permanent retainer with no thread or groove needed.
Can a Starlock washer be removed and reused?
Removal generally damages the teeth, so they are treated as single-use: a fresh washer is fitted on reassembly.
