Kwixset for anchoring and patching (External Use)

Kwixset is a cement and gypsum based product and can be used indoor and outdoors and requiers no further treatment or protection. However it must be finished flush with the surface so that standing water cannot accumulate on the Kwixset.
A minimum distance of 100mm from the edge of the hole to the edge of the concrete must be maintained.

Caution:-
Kwixset has very strong Expansion properties which generate the high tensile loads that can be achieved and as such it's use in brickwork, blockwork and some natural stone is not recommended.

Installation Instructions


1. Drill correct diameter hole to required depth
2. Clean hole by brushing and blowing to remove drilling debris and dust. Dampen sides.
3. Insert bolt and washer into hole ensuring washer is free to fit against head of bolt.
4. Mix sufficient material to a pourable consistency and fill hole around bolt, allow to cure, position fixture, attache and tighten nut.


Repairing and Patching
1. Clean out the area to be repaired removing all loose material and dust. Edges should be at least 12mm thick. Do not leave feather edges.
2. Dampen area but do not allow accumilation of water.
3. Mix up a small quantity of Kwixset and scrub into surfaces to ensure bond.
4. Mix Kwixset to pourable consistency for floors and plastic consistency for walls. Apply to area to be repaired.
5. After approx 10 minutes smooth with trowel and after 30 minutes sprinkle with water.
6. After 1 hour normal floor traffic may be resumed.
